Android in Samsung Wave

this is one of the best technical symbiosis relations i can think about. Samsung wave running Android!!

with its SUPER-AMOLED screen and top end processing for data and graphics, the Wave definitely deserved Android. BADA in that kind of power packed machine is a bit injustice to the users and the machine itself.

i wont go in the techinical stuff, that you can get at GSMArena or other such techWebs. what i would like to be made clear is that WaveI and Wave II, two of the most brilliant phones in the cellular market, deserve Android much more than any other mid range gadget running on 1 GHz processor with such a brilliant screen. it would have been a rage among phone users if this gadget ran at least Froyo if not Gingerbread.

there are people updating the device and installing illegal tweaks to run the phone on Android. here is one such provider:

also here is a firmware download link in case you want to try your luck with the android in your own BADA ridden phone, and join the 'f*** the warrenty' bandwagon: ;)

Galaxy Ace GT-s5830 issues with ROM

Difference in rom install procedure:

i have seen few people getting phone bricks due to not knowing this special procedure and/or not following it really.

Theory:

in layman language, the Ace requires the system, data, cache and sd-ext to be started during the CWM install.

all the above have to be formatted to contain the new system precisely without any conflicts.

just mind the difference between sd-ext and sd-card. many people mistake that a lot of times.

also, you have to mount the data again from mount and unmount/mount data

concurrently, there are patches with every custom rom you install as the Ace project has been manhandled a lot and not taken as seriously as its previous counterparts.

get the roms and reviews from somewhere else...

we celebrate the difference and destinies here at TechFestMagna
