Android OS is the most powerful operating system i have yet come accross. although very cost effective and efficient, it is a little hard on the batteries sometimes, thanks to the screen usage and high graphics.
i first came accross Android platform due to my cousin brother's Samsung Galaxy cell phone. the pattern lock took my attention and redirected my focus on buying one of those 'shiny things' for myself. the turn-it-green buttons on the pattern window are awesome both from spectator point of view as well as utility interface as a very powerful security tool - unless you have enabled 'use visible pattern' and someone overlooks the code from behind your shoulders.
the second best part about that Galaxy that took me by surprise was the awesome GUI working smooth as butter on such a small smart phone. even windows GUI lags on HTC palm tops as much as i knew till now. and this thing was easyu to understand and operate - and beautiful to look at.
third, and the best feature i liked in it was the amount of applications available for the android device on its own market. accounting more than few hundred applications which i have personally used, this market boasts more than a million apps and all having twins - free and paid versions. to give you a simple idea, here's a rough statistical list which generated result on the Android Market:
game - 102434 results
utility - 51549 results
office - 5169 results
nfs - 1433 results
night - 8725 results
sex - 9582 results
themes - 4523 results
see what i mean?
then finally i brought my own android - LG Optimus ONE
and been in love with it ever since. next phone? Optimus 2x, or any thing with more cores and even more Optimus in it!!
